Sexual Desire 2Sex is a natural human action necessary for the maintenance of the human race. For most sexual intercourse the experience is very pleasant, but for some it can be a painful or uncomfortable experience due to a sexual disorder. A sexual disorder is the inability to have sexual intercourse or the experience of mental or physical pain and anguish during sexual intercourse. There are many different forms of sexual disorders, the most important are: desire disorders, arousal disorders, orgasm disorders and pain disorders. Each of these disorders has different effects on the victim, but they are difficult to live with. Sexual desire disorders arise from a person's interests and desire for sexual desire. There are also main types of sexual desire orders. There is hypoactive sexual desire that occurs when a person has little interest or drive to engage in sexual acts. Hypoactive sexual desire can be caused by many factors ranging from one's physical attributes such as hormones to past sexual encounters to relationship and trust issues. There are numerous factors that can cause hypoactive sexual disorder. This disorder can also arise from the perceived perception that one will or will not be able to satisfy the level of desire that one desires (David, F.H., Fertel, E.R., Singh, D., Fernandez, F., & al, e.). The most common treatment for hyperactive sexual disorder though is a sex therapist. The second form of sexual desire disorder is Sexual Desire Aversion which according to Lori A. Brotto Sexual Desire Aversion is defined as "a persistent or recurrent extreme aversion to and avoidance of all or almost all genital sexual contact with a sexual partner". '(Brotto).
