Topic > The challenges of pursuing my master's degree in Florida...

As a student pursuing a master's degree at Florida International University, I am aware of the future benefits of earning a degree of this caliber in terms of career opportunities and remuneration. FIU offers a variety of degree programs ranging from bachelor's to doctoral and professional degrees. However, there are programs that should be offered at a higher degree level, which would significantly benefit graduate students and the university. One particular program that should definitely be offered to students is a Master's in Health Services Administration. University and graduate students are being mutually deprived of a great opportunity, so I am writing this memo in an effort to implement a master's degree program in health services administration for the Nicole Weirtheim College of Nursing & Health Sciences. Current Situation Florida International University is currently in the midst of the largest universities in the country and it is evident that it will continue to increase in size. With the ongoing construction of new buildings to accommodate additional classrooms, student accommodation and parking, there is no doubt that student enrollments will gradually increase in the coming years. It is for this reason that it is imperative to offer additional degree courses to students. Florida International Universities' School of Nursing and Health Sciences offers a bachelor's degree in health services administration, but does not offer students this master's level course. This particular degree has gradually become more prominent over the years, and numerous accredited universities across the nation offer this program as a master's degree for this reason. According to... half of the document... a good thing as it can lead to further expansion. The staff and classrooms are currently in place, all that needs to be done is for the College of Nursing & Health Sciences board to run the Master of Health Services Administration program. Moving Forward The implementation of a Master's in Health Services Administration would greatly benefit students as well as Florida International University and action must be taken. College enrollment could gradually increase, and students will be further prepared for their careers. If and when the program is implemented, current undergraduate students should be notified of this opportunity before they graduate to begin enrollment. Please consider this proposal and do not hesitate to contact me for any additional information. Thank you
