Topic > Case Analysis: The Irish Constitution - 1543
I believe that the decisions of the Court serve to protect and safeguard the rights of citizens. A woman with a soul in the womb cannot make a decision regarding the life of her unborn child. The Judiciary, with the help of the Constitution, protects the rights of the unborn child from abortion especially in cases where there is no danger to the health or life of the pregnant woman. My position in this situation is that I am against abortion, but if there was a danger to the life of the pregnant woman, physical or mental (due to rape or incest), then abortion should be accessed.
