Some of them are altruism, autonomy, human dignity, integrity and social justice (Teaching Core Nursing Values, 2005). I believe all the values mentioned have become easy for me to incorporate into my practice. Altruism comes easy to me because I have felt that my entire life I have always had a concern for the well-being and well-being of others. I believe everyone should be treated with respect and uniqueness, which is why human dignity seems clear to me. I also believe that everyone should have the right to self-determination and to make decisions about their own health care. Also, integrity comes easy to me because I have always believed that everyone should be honest and have good ethical manners no matter the situation. If employees acted within an unethical framework, it could result in unsafe outcomes for patients. Finally, it was easy to practice social justice because I always believed that everyone should be treated equally, regardless of their circumstances. No one should be discriminated against because of their economic status, ethnicity, age, citizenship, disability or gender
